Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I see some very nice, secluded , private sites, for a fair prices. Monthly , some are quarterly.. Seen one , on the ocean, with a garage.. and looks like a studio apartment with enclosed porch for $650 / mo.. looks very nice.
Was thinking about locking a couple down for my first leg of my adventure . We plan to travel Florida for the winter..
What questions should I be asking?
What should I be aware of?
Could some of these be scams?
Thanks

I've looked at it mainly looking at RV lots for sale. Never acted on any. It looks like you deal with the RV Spot owner rather than RV Park Store so the website is basically a Classified Ad site for others to post what they have for sale or rent. Seems like it would be safe to me.

We originally found the park we stayed in this past winter on that site. It can be useful as an additional resource to find a place to stay.
I'm not sure about the scam problem. We were actually able to visit the park and the owner we didn't rent from before renting, and contacted the other owner through the park's website, so there wasn't any risk of a scam. I think the risk is pretty low, but I'd take the same type of precautions I would with any other transaction with people I didn't know.
