Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
So, I was surfing my campground app looking for places that I might want to visit when I stumbled across "Campland On The Bay" near San Diego. For a meager $170 to $250 a day you can stay in the "Supersite". The description is below. This campground has a summer concert series, a gym, a cafe, free wifi. The only thing I didn't see was ****tail service to your site by bikini clad waitresses on roller skates. Hmmmm, maybe I should suggest that to management.
The SuperSite
Campland on the Bay boasts a very special campsite that is completely private! The Supersite equates to Campland’s VIP suite.
The Supersite is a fully enclosed campsite with many features and the best view of the bay.
Privacy & Security
One of the primary features of the Supersite is the privacy it affords the occupants. The six foot fence and lockable entry makes for a relaxing stay. With it’s own gas grill, lawn furniture, and drought resistant landscaping, the Supersite was designed with both guests and environment in mind.
Luxurious Camping at its Best, the SuperSite
The site steps into the realm of luxury with its other private features; a whirlpool spa, a full size washer and dryer, and a phone line. Both left and right hook-ups are available in order to accommodate any recreational vehicle. The guests are then left uninterrupted to enjoy their vacation. With its many features, the Supersite rivals the Honeymoon Suites of many luxury hotels and is targeted to travelers who think that “roughing it” is not prerequisite to fun camping.

Some friends told us about SuperSite in Campland on the Bay around 2003. The other campsites are much cheaper and back then they took Passport America. There are people who want it all and will afford it. Notice I said, "will afford it", not "can afford it".
I am not sure I would suggest that to the management Mark, in that area the waitress might have a beard.

Oh wow.. that looks divine. We've actually dreamed of campsites just like that - private, fabulous water views and a private hot tub. For a vacation splurge that we can take our house to, a bit expensive - but in line with what we'd pay daily to go on a cruise or other such luxury experience.
Private chef and massage therapist would be a nice bonus too :)
We have stayed at Bluewater Key RV Resort in Key West with our own dock and tiki hut - http://www.bluewaterkey.com/. Off season it ended up about $103 a night for two weeks in November 2007. We were isolated from the campsites on either side, the campsite had hookups on both sides so a 5er or motorhome could both face the water. Walking distance to Baby's Coffee, https://www.babyscoffee.com/, some of the best coffee anywhere. The only place we have stayed where our other costs, food, gas, parking, touring (including a trip to Dry Tortugas National Park by ship), were less than our camping cost. It was still cheaper per day than many vacations we have taken, including cruises.

The normal sites at Campland were once single sites that they split in half to make two sites out of one. It has to be one of the most tightly packed RV resorts, I've ever seen.
I'm guessing the super site is probably equal to a normal site in most RV resorts but with a 6ft privacy fence around it.

I was looking at some of the Youtube Videos on that place........Hahaha, like you said, TIGHT.
Looks like a fancy Walmart parking lot when you look fast.
