Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We were in an RV Shop recently and talked to one of the techs about Jesse's longing for a bigger louder horn on our truck. The tech mentioned that he had a huge Motorhome come in that had a train horn on it. He pulled it into a service bay and a bunch of techs were on their coffee break. He blew the horn and coffee and techs went flying. They wouldn't speak to him for over a week.

Long ago I would go over to the place where the musical horns were designed for Foretravel, musical horn in 2-3 part harmony. What a blast, company was owned by Roger and Al Peterson in Old Ocean, Texas. Great folks. I saw a ad for a HDT truck that talked about the the horns, ad said truck had a city horn, a air horn and a train horn that would blow the hair off a cat at a hundred yards. I still laugh when I think of that ad. Jim

Our 1992 Beaver had one of those musical horns on it from the factory. Ours was too loud though, you could hear it for blocks.

Jim are you from the Old Ocean area? I retired from Phillips in 1998 after 32 years we still live east of OO on the river. I remember the company but was never in their place
Billy Bob,
I moved to the brazosport area in 1973. Worked for Gulf Chemical and Metal for about 15 years and then Shintech in Freeport for about 14 years. Still have a place west of Angleton but spend most of my time at the lake or traveling in the 5th wheel.
