Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

ARKANSAS Disaster!

Heard on the new 16 dead so far. Hope no one we know.

That's the part of the weather I don't care for down South. Our harsh winters seem to be small potatoes when it comes to tragedies like tornadoes. Up here we are getting more tornadoes more frequently than the old days. Not sure if something with climate change or something. When it does hit us up here there is usually property damage but not much for casualties. I think that's just because we're not as densely populated, maybe.

Sad and scary. The crazy weather will have new meaning when we hit the road. I'm always encouraged to hear how well the veterans move about the country mostly dodging the real damage areas.

We had snow in SoCal on Saturday night so I think "typical" weather may be a thing of the past.

I know a weather radio is on our must-have list before we launch.

Safe travels for all of you out there living the life!!

I find a weather radio and a good news source is a good start.

Staying out of regions during there severe weather season helps immensely !

if you hear bad weather is coming ....Leave....you can come up with a thousand reasons why your not leaving or waiting to the last minute. thats foolish .....most storm cells are forecast days in advance.

one thing I've learned the hard way.............".It will never happen to me " and its not gonna be that bad !

I didnt get the moniker "Lucky" from winning the lottery!!!!!!!

Trailerking when I lived in Regina, we were working on a house in the north end. We saw the black clouds and just missed getting hit by a tornado by minutes.

This coming Saturday, I get to fly to St. Louis and drive our "new to us" Beaver back through Tornado Alley (Kansas and Nebraska). Not looking forward to that. Never been through that area of the woods.

On a side note..............Great to hear you are going to finally pick up your unit. Geez I should go with ya. I was through St. Louis and Kansas when coming back from Orlando but there was no sign of Tornadoes at that time.....Thank God.

If you have any problems when you come through Kansas We will be happy to help.  We live in Emporia, near the middle of Kansas.

What road are you planning on taking?  Where's your destination?

Let us know if you need anything when you are in the area.

Thanks Patti.

My route will likely try to skirt Kansas. I think I will take I-70 from St. Clair west to Kansas City and then head north on I-29 to Sioux Falls and the head west on I-90 to Spokane. From there over to Hwy 97 and north to the Oroville/Osoyoos crossing.

That is unless someone knows a better route they can comment on.
