Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have an on-line acquaintance that used to be a regular here that spends every summer in Fun Valley RV Park. He's been going back there for several years and he keeps a blog with a daily journal of his life. Fun Valley is located southwest of South Fork just off of Highway 160. If you check out his Blog and try to contact him, I imagine he could tell you a lot more that I could, because I've never been to any of the RV parks at South Fork. His blog is Howeth's Travels. He lost his wife a few years ago in a rafting accident, but he still carries on, although now he is alone. He seems to spend summers at South Fork and winters in Houston.

We stayed at the Mountain Views at Rivers Edge in Creede, about 20 miles away. We enjoyed the views around the park and there are many beautiful drives into the mountains.
Mountain View in Creede is very, very nice. And a great area to base from. We have stayed there many times - any size rig will fit.

I am glad to hear the campground is nice. We are planning a week at Mountainview later in June. We are going to be traveling with my sister and brother-in-law (who have their own trailer) and meeting my parents (in their trailer) at Creede for a week of camping. Looking forward to getting out of the Texas heat for a little while.

I reserved a spot at Ute Bluff Lodge just out of South Fork. The reviews I read were good & the lady that runs the place was very nice on the phone. It is not a big RV campground but that is fine with us. I will check out the other campground while we are there. We are thinking about doing some workcampimg next year so plan to check out several places this summer to see what is out there.
