Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are full timers from Texas and have been on the road going on 11 years. Both of us enjoy the lifestyle, visiting museums, reading and my wife does quilting.
Also we park host and have hosted in state parks in Arizona, Louisiana, Texas, Montana, South Dakota as well as Fish and Wildlife in the state of Oregon. For the past 3 seasons, we spend our summers near Missoula, Montana (and are currently on our way there). I am the caretaker at a state park and my wife is the park host. We spend the season there May til October. Our winters are spent in Texas. Our experiences with hosting has allowed us to see so many different places and meet many people from all over the world.
Our rig is a 39 foot fifth wheel 2013 Mobile Suite which we just love and we pull with a 2014 450 Ford truck which we also love. We belong to the rv organization Escapees which allows us to meet and make many new friends, use their mail services and enjoy many other services.
We travel with a Boston Terrier dog who does not know he is a dog! He will be 10 years old in December and knows only traveling as we got him at 6 weeks old and were full timers. We first started with a motor home, then a Carriage 5th wheel and in February we were fortunate to purchase the new Mobile Suite.

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. Since you've been full-timing for so long, I suspect that you will have lots of answers for folks here that are looking for such. Glad to have you as part of the "family." While I'm "technically" not a Texan, I was born in Amarillo when my folks lived in the Oklahoma Panhandle. We are currently in Oklahoma but getting close to retirement and a move to Colorado, so I can't say that I'm a neighbor for very long. However, we also have a Mobile Suites and an F450, just older ones.

Welcome from another Texan we have RVed since 1997, but not full time. Our stick home is about 50 miles south east of Houston. Little town of Sweeny.

Welcome tx-RVer, we've been touring your beautiful home state for a couple of weeks. As soon as we get our springs replace we're outta here. It sounds like you have lots of experiences to share with us, particularly your workamping ones for those looking to do that.

hi i am wanting post pics of my rv and tv how do i do it
In "Guidelines and Suggestions" is a thread that was created that gave instructions using Photobucket, which is a free photo hosting website. A direct link it here:
The same process applies whether one is posting their photos in their signature or in the body of the comments. One does need to be sure and resize any large photos so they won't be too large for the forums. Also, any that are like mine that tend to fill the comment area (left to right) on a regular laptop will be too wide for folks with tablets and other smaller devices. As for signature areas, the photos should be even smaller.
The way to "test" the photo is to paste the url address into the body of the comment and then click on "Show Preview" below and to the left of the comment field. Then the preview will give one an idea of just how big it will be, although on occasion, it may still be too large. If that happens after one has submitted the post, one can go to the "More" button at the upper right of the comment area and click on "Edit." Then, one can remove the photo from the posting and then resize it again for Photobucket before posting it again.
