Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I can not believe it is finally here. After a year of planning and waiting the day is quickly approaching. We leave on Sunday after church for our life on the road. I am excited, nervous, & crazy busy.
We just have a few things to take to the donation place and clean the house. The RV is ready and hubby just needs to change the oil in the truck.
Seems like ages ago we made the decision to full time. Yet time is now flying by as we get the last details done. Lots of people stopping by to visit and even buy some of the last of our treasures that are not treasure any more.
I can't wait to experience the exiliration, fears, & joys that will come. Thanks eveyone for always sharing as we have and are learning so much from you all.
We actually will be In Oregon for 5 weeks. Silver Falls will be our first stop. We figured that we want to go slow and enjoy our state as we head east. We plan on spending a few weeks in eastern Oregon before we head through to Idaho, then Yellowstone and continue east to make Pennsylvania by mid July.
Congrats!!! We also left from Oregon in Nov. of 2012. We are headed back now for our first visit since leaving. There is just so many places to see and experience. Have fun!!
Congratulations! Sounds like you're all ready to go! If you're going to be in the CraterLake area, there is a wonderful RV park in nearby Prospect, OR with two names. Crater Lake RV Park AKA Prospector RV Park. 5 waterfalls within 10 miles of the park. Just gorgeous area. One of my favorite areas so far.
Sherry

You are too funny Mike....thanks for the countdown! Sherry, thanks for the heads up on Crater Lake. We will not be going there this year, but next July it may be a destination for us as our church youth go there every summer for camp and we might join them. I will file your suggestion away for the future.
Thanks for all the love everyone. It is getting closer!
Lol Jean......now it is 3! The butterflies are starting to set in. Everything seems to be coming together. I can hardly believe it is soooooo close. I have been pouring over the forum to get reinforcement for my slight bit of nerves. Thanks for all your feedback everyone.
Tomorrow is the day! And although I am excited to go, I must admit the goodbyes have been a little hard. I was trying to convince my husband this morning that we should await a week. He said no. Good man that he is he knows that we are ready, I am just a little sad.
Sheryl Sage,
That is what we have done. We have been living in the RV for 10 months now. So we are anxious to go, but I have appreciated this time to get used to the small space. Plus it was nice cause I was able to see what I really needed and did not need.
Happy travels today!!! We will pull out of our driveway for the last time this afternoon and then sign the paperwork to sell the house at 10am tomorrow. We are only moving 90 miles down the road while still working but at least we will have our foot in the door!!
