Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
After a month of serious thought; I did it!!! I bought a new to me 1996 34 ft. RK Western Recreational 25th Anniversary 5er. It has a kitchen table//couch combo slide and one in the Master Bedroom. Enclosed belly and a large storage compartment. Can't believe the storage space on the inside.
This was the difficult part; parting with the motorhome I and a deceased brother had since 1993. It is time to say my adieu's as it will take almost as much finances as I paid for the 5er, not to say it has a minor bugs to take care of; the worst being a leaking hot water tank. The rest seems to be cosmetics and cleaning. I have another 4-5 days before I move into it as i am having it professionally cleaned inside. In another month I will have the outside detailed.
So; I'm Doing a bit of an Irish Jig seeing that it's still March!!! If you want to see the Rig; go to RVillage to my Profile Page!!!

Good luck parting with the current MH, I have recently "purged" a bunch of "stuff" from my beloved Grandmother, she passed in 2002 and there are days it still feels like it was yesterday. I am trying to accept that she is not in things but rather in my heart. That's where your brother is - in your heart, not the MH.
Way to go. I bet you feel like you need to buy stuff to fill the space.
Seen at a Sears Store..... MarkS in tears when told, "Step away from the 347 piece Tool chest", he cried, "but I have empty storage compartments to fill".
Just cause you failed Purging 101, don't drag Pieere down into you personal hell

Congrats on the "new" rig, Pieere
But you forget MarkS has 12-14000lbs of spare room on his truck.... just add another box and fill it up!

Are you saying he's an incurable "stuff" junkie???.... Mark, defend yourself!!!
Thank You fellow Rvers!!! There is so much room in here for little ole me'; I keep getting lost!!! LOL!!! Does anyone want to play hide-n-seek??? It is nice to have the room to move around. I even cooked a couple of meals since moving in. I got moved last Thursday and it was a hectic day and the queen bed felt good. Wow; I even have room for company now!!!
