Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from Minnesota

Since I am coming to the RV-Dreams Spring Rally I thought it was about time I introduce myself.  I started reading the journals a couple of years ago and became fascinated with the idea of full time RVing.   Right now I'm looking at Full Timing as an early retirement adventure.  I currently really enjoy my job. I have a wonderful daughter who is just leaving the nest and only a block away.  I'm also involved with two women's choirs in the Twin Cities area which I'm just not ready to leave yet.   So my current goal is to find a 24 footer or less class C i can use for summer weekend camping, extended vacations and maybe a month or two snow birding in the south.  I'm very excited to come to the Spring Rally.  The resort looks awesome and I've never been to TN.

Welcome! Glad you made the point that this forum isn't just for full timers! Your plans sound perfect.

Just before I was laid off/retired the new company hired me in a merger said it had to move to Minneapolis area. I kept saying no because I had recently relocated from Cleveland, OH to AZ. No way was I going back to snow and cold.

We have all kinds of folks on here and in the parks where you might stay. Love meeting all the people with interesting stories and backgrounds.

Sherry

Welcome Michelle. We too are in Minnesota and going to the rally in Tennessee. We are in the western suburbs and will have our home for sale shortly so we can fulltime. We look forward to meeting you at the rally or sooner.

This winter has been brutal.  It's been at least our 5th coldest winter ever!   So you made the right choice by not coming here.

Good luck to your house sale.  Heard on the news today, people are getting multiple offers.   I'm in St. Paul Lowertown area.  I'll actually be 1 block from the new St . Paul Saints stadium.  I'm hoping in 3-4 years I'll be able to sell my condo for a profit.

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to meeting you (and everyone else) at the spring rally in TN! We have been there before, it is a beautiful area - especially that time of year when everything will be blooming!
