Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

License Plates

So we finally got our license plates for South Dakota!

Question is- On the truck tag, they sent 2 stickers 1 that says "tonnage" and the other that is for the renewal month.  There's only 1 allotted spot on the tag so which 1 do I use?

Pics would be wonderful!

I don't remember that we got a tonnage sticker, only the renewal month. That's the one that goes in the corner. I googled south dakota license plate images and got lots of photos that all look the same, renewal sticker in the bottom corner. Didn't see any with tonnage stickers anywhere.

For my truck I got 2 tonnage stickers and 2 renewal month stickers. The renewal sticker goes on the bottom right and the tonnage sticker goes on the bottom left. There is one for both the front plate and one for the rear plate. When I got my first plates I picked them up and they put the stickers on the plates. I just put the new one over the old one.

Thanks Dave. That's what I thought, but needed to make sure.

South Dakota evidently has 2 stickers, 1 is for the weight you think the tow vehicle will weigh, the other is the month that the registration renews. The camper has a single sticker for the renewal month.  Every state is different.
