Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have been traveling for work since 2007. We have been very lucky to have worked all across the US and are currently in Canada. Our next assignment is in Southern California where we hope to thaw out.
We feel blessed to get to travel and see so many wonderful places. The best part is always meeting fellow RV'ers!
My wife and i have been watching this forum for a number of months now and can relate to most of the threads on here in some way or another. Some have been painful while others have been funny.
I envy that you started so early. DW and I have just started our FT life style and look forward to several years of seeing the US and Canada.
As someone once said " when it comes time to look back, make sure you like want you see". Sounds like you have some great memories to look back on.

Welcome to Bugsplatter from another Okie and DRV Suites owner. (Ours is a 2010 Mobile Suites.) You've certainly found a good source of information on both RV's and the RV lifestyle. The folks here are very knowledgeable and are more than willing to help and encourage when either or both are needed.
Feel free to ask questions as that is how we all tend to learn.

Thanks Trace. We just finished up in Ontario Canada and flown home last night. Started packing the camper today and heading out on Monday going to Southern California for a few months. We rented a house while up in Canada and hated every night going home to a place that wasn't ours.
Working and living out on the road is awesome. Getting to meet folks and seeing places that you wouldn't have otherwise. And getting paid for it..... LOL
Welcome, where are you heading in Southern CA? We are static here until July then finally hitting the road. We love the weather here, and found a nice RV park that we have been static at. Let me know if you need advice on parks in Southern CA.
We will be headed to the Victorville area, if you have any suggestion in that area they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
How long are you staying? In California, if you want to stay more than 3 weeks you have to be qualified as a renter instead of a short term guest. Just a warning.
If you are an Elk, the Hesperia Elks has nice 30AMP w/e sites with a dump station. Mojave Narrows Regional Park in Victorville will let you stay for two weeks, then you have to leave for 3. It is nice, but has trains and you have to let yourself in and out at night by opening a vehicle gate with a combination padlock. We end up staying at Desert Willows in Hesperia, it is OK. We have family in Hesperia, so it is convenient. Having spent many months in the area I can say it is not a tourist area, there is very little to do for recreation.

Desert Willow is where I was headed until I get me feet on the ground out there and look around. We'll be there until May then move up to the Mojave area for appx. a year.
We are looking into getting the vehicles registered there now. :(
We are in San Dimas, and not sure about the Victorville area. It's too bad it is such a long commute from here to Victorville, because for Southern CA, East Shore in San Dimas is very nice.
