Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Working on our "retire early but still work a little on the road" plan

My husband and I made the decision last year to start planning for a full-time RV lifestyle. We still need a few years before we can hit the road -- we are targeting Spring of 2018, when I will be 55 and he will be 45.

In the meantime, we bought our first camper on eBay last summer, a 2005 Coachmen Spirit of America 5th wheel, 28'. We've been out a handful of times now, and are planning to attend the Spring RV Dreams Rally in Tennessee this April to learn more about the full-time lifestyle. We will be meeting up at the rally with my father-in-law and his fiancee, who are ahead of us in their dream, as they plan to hit the road within the next year.

When I first started researching full-time RVing, this was the first website that helped me realize how achievable this dream could be, and how many people are making a living on the road.  I can't wait to meet Howard and Linda and other members of the RV-Dreams community!

Welcome to the group! We'll be at the rally too, but in one of the small cabins as we won't have our 5er until May. We hope to head out full time this summer!

I recently found that Technomadia has a nice blog list, "Non-Retired Younger RVing Nomad Blogs", at http://www.technomadia.com/young-full-time-rving-nomads/.  It might be helpful.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! And thank you, Bill, for the link to the 'younger RV nomads' blog list. I am familiar with Technomadia -have watched all of their video interviews on YouTube - but I wasn't aware of this list. Will check it out.

Welcome aboard. I agree, this forum is a family. There is a ton of support that passes through here every day. These folks are always free with good information. Some of us just stir the pot!

Welcome... you'll find your joining quite a group of us mobile working folks on the road. I would link to our list of other nomads, but seems Bill beat us to it (thank you!). Quite some inspiring folks there, for sure.
