Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Best RV Magazine?

I was thinking about subscribing to an RV magazine geared toward full timers in a trailer as opposed to a DP.

I was looking at Trailer Life, Escapees or RV Life.

Anybody have any opinions on any of them?

Thanks.

I can't speak to any of the magazines as we don't subscribe to any of them.  It is just way too easy to find information on the internet in the forum of forums and personal blogs, just to name a couple.  All one has to do is look on the forum and start to ask questions.  Those experienced in RV"ing can certainly steer someone towards sources of information that speak to your questions.

Besides, your subscription money will be going to a lot of advertisements that may not be the best solution to one's issues.  Personal experience from experienced RV'ers can save one a lot of headaches, even with the choice of products and systems.

Besides, the one article you spoke of in one of your previous posts can show that not all articles are beneficial.

Being Escapees, we get the magazine and do like it. But if it was your only reason to join Escapees, it would be expensive. They do cover the RV lifestyle and fulltiming more than other magazines. I have looked at many Trailer Life issues and I would say it is OK, lots of advertising and filler, but OK with a few articles of interest every month. RV Life I have only picked up free, mostly in piles at the front of a Camping World. It is OK, but it has been a couple years since I read it.

Another one to think about is Gypsy Journal, http://gypsyjournalrv.com/, which is mostly about traveling and what to see.  We get it as a digital download, http://gypsyjournalrv.com/digital-edition/, which is cheaper than getting it in print.  You can download a sample issue to decide.

One of the best sources of information is the blogs that people keep - - often they have a link to them in their signature line. Reading them will give you an idea of all of the different ways that people fulltime.

True that . . . I've been spending probably too much time online reading blogsno  I love them though for the first hand knowledge and boy are they addictive!
