Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

This is scary!

There is a bright yellowish/gold sphere in the sky over Washington DC! Seems I remember seeing something like this before, but it's been a long time and can't remember what it was. Anybody know what it might be?

Gino

Any pilots here? I was flying at night with thunderstorms in close proximity. All of a sudden the airplane started to glow and it was bright enough to read a book in the pilot's seat, remember it's night time. The glow came from static electricity sparking all over the airplane. This is called St Elmo's Fire. It was very peaceful and for a second we thought we had ascended.

The sun....yes I remember something like that.   But I don't think summer is coming for a long long time. At least not with these temperatures. no

Being Western Washington state natives, we know how rare seeing the sun can be. It is good to know the other Washington can experience the same phenomena.

Didn't you say Washington DC? We're practically neighbors (in NJ) and I think you just got hit with the same winter storm we did, which dropped at least a foot of snow! Summer??? From your mouth to God's ears! (but then again, I'd be complaining about the heat!) I plan to find a place where it's spring or fall all year round!

Cheryl - if you find a place that is truly spring or fall all year round, let us in on the secret, please!!

In the meantime we'll keep just following the sun and nice temps in our travels, happy to say that this winter for the first time in years we've seen the sun almost everyday. We are NOT missing the Western WA gray winters.

Eileen is from Northern NJ. We got about 8" of the white stuff here. I'll take the heat over the cold anytime.

Sounds to me like if you open your door it's spring or fall and you get to choose.  biggrin
