Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Another step: talked to a realtor today

Okay, steady now....we met and talked to a realtor today. I am excited, anxious, nervous and excited! evileye Another step towards freedom. We have to do some minor fixes to the S&B. I guess I dread the house selling process, but at least we have our new house in the driveway wink I don't know, I guess I just want it to sell and pray that it will in this market. I realized I can not focus on money we can clear from the sale- the important thing is that is sells.

Happy Journey's Dreamers!

NICE!!! You guys are just ahead if us in every step :) I am hearing lots of good things about the housing market. With interest rates still low houses are selling. One piece of advice...my in-laws had their dream retirement plans all in place all they had to do was sell their house. Unfortunately they were choosy on the offers and eventually it all fell apart. Lee and I are taking the first reasonable offer. You can always make more money you know. Good luck to you and keep us up to date

Trace - yes, the realtor said interest rates are still down. We will take the first reasonable offer too - and we are trying to accept the worse case scenario. I guess I was relying on the 'nest egg' thing - and you are so right, we will make more money because we will still work. What an adjustment in thinking! I wouldn't give up this journey for anything :)

Thank you byseaandbyland for the good thoughts.

Let the games begin!

I dreaded it too. What we did was let the realtor and inspector dictate what needed to be fixed or repaired. It was way less painless than I thought it would be. It also let us know what buyers were looking for.

Congratulations! You are right where we are. Thursday we talked to an auctioneer, yesterday the real estate agent came out, and today I got an email from him with an idea of what he would list the place for.

Thanks Sherry!

So what is the prevailing wisdom on getting a pre-appraisal? We will get the pre-inspection done.
