Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I needed to start a new blog as it seems the link to "Finally on the Road Again" got hacked. The old email address would not take me there anymore! Then again it may have happened when my old computer crashed. Trying anew again! Wiull take me some time to build it again! PIEERE

Can't wait to read your prose. Blogging and geneology are two things I am looking forward to. I will start my blog once the fiver is delivered and we begin our full time prep. I'll write about truck modifications, weekend shakedowns, maintenance, repairs and things we learn. The goal is to share ideas with all of you and gain from your feedback.

Mark,
Personally, I believe that those topics would be beneficial to a lot of folks, even as you are going through the process. That way, folks can see the progression as you may find yourself needing to make a change in plans. Plus, it is better to write that stuff when it is fresh in your mind. So, why hold off the beginning of the blog?

I agree. Once the trailer is delivered and I begin the mods on the truck, I will begin documenting each project and decision moving forward. after the first of the year I'll get started.

I took the liberty to use my abilities as a moderator to go in and "activate" your blog link in your signature. I should always come up now as an active link every time you post.
Glad to see you continue to show you can "start anew." Good luck and our prayers are with you.

MarkS, since I'm a fan of your posts (truth in lending style) I'll be looking forward to your blog and wait with bated breath. My DH once worked for an RV dealer, gutted a 5th taken in trade, remodeled and then bought it for a song. The best deal we ever made. I'm a firm believer in making a unit fit you, not making yourself fit the unit. And, if a workamping park sets an age limit for our RV, too bad, we can always go somewhere else. Like Groucho said "I don't want to belong to a club that will accept me as a member."
