Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Dream Progress!

We are planning to full-time in spring/summer of 2014. We are making progress toward the dream! We have put a deposit on a 2014 Arctic Fox 32-5M 5th Wheel and it is ready for pick up. We have ordered a 2014 F350 DRW to pull the 5'er, and it should be in at the end of this month. Now we need to sell the house to help pay for all of this! The house goes on the market next month and we are working hard to downsize our belongings, not always an easy task. AND we will be at the Spring Rally in TN!! So excited to meet people and learn everything we can!

Congrat's!  Sounds like you are in nearly the same stage as Bill and I.  We purchased our "new to us" truck a few weeks back, then today paid for our new 5th wheel home on wheels!  We didn't bring it home b/c of the weather and I need to find a place for it to live until we sell our house (too big for driveway).  Isn't this exciting?

Are you guys going to the rally?  We cannot wait to bring our new 5th Wheel!

We hope to be part of the Summer 2014 class too! We seem to be following right behind most of you. We have to sell our business then we will get the truck. Once the ranch sells, the rig will be next! We will see you all at the Spring Rally!

Count us in on the class of 2014. We have two homes currently for sale. Profits from one are for the 5th wheel and from the other for the truck. We plan to go full time next summer. We will move to Florida for several years until we can retire and hit the road.

Congratulations!!! Y'all must be really excited. I wish we could be ready by the end of 2014 but it's not to be. The Arctic Fox looks like a nice rig but we don't have any dealers in Texas that stock them. I would like to see one in person.

Thanks for all to good wishes, this forum is the best! It is so helpful to have a place to come to and read about other full-timers and get encouragement. While we are really excited, we are also really nervous about giving up our home and hitting the road. We will both have to continue working as we are not financially ready to retire, and I worry about finding enough work. It always brings peace of mind and rekindles my excitement to read this forum.

The Arctic Fox is awesome. We did a lot of research and shopping before deciding on this RV. I'll post pictures when we pick it up from the dealer. We'll be at the Spring Ralley and would be happy to let anyone interested have a look inside :)

I hope to be with y'all in the 'class of 2014". I didn't buy my rig yet, but I am now moving very quickly to downsize and put the house on the market in January with prayers for a quick sale. What we buy depends on how much we have left from the sale, but barring the house not selling, we should be on the road by the spring or possibly even a little sooner.

Congratulations Jo & Ben,

We read great posts from full timers about the Article Fox! Hope yours and your beautiful truck are all you've hoped for. We hit the road full-timing 7 months ago and all we can say is why didn't we do it sooner!

We're really happy for you!

Sherry
