Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RV TOILET

The vibration you hear is called "Air - Hammer" .a quick fix is to take a Y connector and a 1' to 2 ' piece if hose, put a plug in the end of the hose and add a clamp to keep it in place point it above the connection at the spigot so it retains its air inside then turn the water on and it will remove the shudder by creating a soft air shock diaphragm in the water line!!!.....make sure the air lock stays above the water flow line.(above the spigot)

I have a interesting problem. I'm hooked up to a friends house for water. When I flush my rv toilet, she hears her plumbing vibrate. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

I have encountered this in campgrounds, the pipes coming into the outside faucet will vibrate. For us I think it is interaction with the back-flow valve in the city water connection. You might be able to get rid of the vibration by adding a support to her plumbing. But first you have to find where to put the support by having someone hold the pipe rigidly.

Try putting a pressure reducing valve in line before the water enters your rig...

I have a pressure reducer in my line. We are on a well, so no (city ) water, and I have a backflow built into my rig.
