Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
There are so many people who are willing to help out with any questions you have here on this site! Everyone is so friendly! We are hoping to sell next spring and then head out on the road! So many details to work out though!
Seems we used to be "neighbors". We lived in Oldham Co from 1996 to 2002. Small world!
Maybe we will meet someday on the road!

We are Rick and Wendy from North East of Louisville, Kentucky and once we can get the farm sold we are going full time. Well that's the plan anyway. I am in the middle 40's and Rick is in his middle 50's and are tired of 5 hours of mowing almost every week and trying to keep up with the farm.
I have wanted to see the U.S. for many years and we both got caught up in the put down roots, buy a house, keep up with the Jones's and stress over everything. It came to a head about 2 years ago and we have been paying everything off to be debt free and now we are going to sell everything. Buy a Fifth Wheel and see these here United States( probably a little of Canada thrown in) and just have fun.
We have been browsing RV's reading all we could find for full timer's and hope to be on the road about next July. I am a wedding photog and have a few weddings to wrap up in 2014 and Rick has to set up his early retirement, but then we plan to hit the road.
Wendy, Rick & our four legs Ebony, TT, OC, & Pudge
Still freaking out about having to re-home 10 cats (remember Farm, love my barn kitties) & four horses!
Hopefully we will meet on the road. We actually live 300 feet over the Oldham line into Henry County. If you know where the L'Espirit Horse Park is, we are on the edge of it. I am sure when we finally head out, we will be looking for someone to roam around with on occasion, so we don't have to make friends at every stop.
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. As you are finding out, this site is made up of a lot of knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and encouraging folks. It is one of the friendliest sites around and we all are helping each other learn. Shoot, I've been here for a few years myself and even I'm still learning. So, feel free to ask questions and make comments.
Another thought, as a "serious, amateur" photographer myself, your username prompts me to ask if you have a website where some of your photos may be found?

Welcome to the Dreamer site. When you talk about stress I understand your point, therefore I wish you good luck for the sale of your property and getting on the road.
