Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My WoooooHHHOOOOO! Guys and Gals; A very Special Person is coming for a visit this Sunday the 13th of October. NOOO! It's not the Great Pumpkin; nor is it Jack Frost; Nope..Not the Holiday Turkey or Santa Claus!! I am so ecstatic; I tingle all over!!! Who is it you Ask??? My very Special Daughter!!! I used to visit her and the Grandkids after I was done working at Adventureland in Iowa in October before leaving to work at Amazon.com.
This time she has the opportunity to visit; just her and I; that was a song by; Alabama back in the 80's. This will give us the opportunity to share some great quality time together as well as take care of some paperwork with the living will; have to put that into perspective as I'm not getting younger.
She always wanted to go to a real great BBQ restaurant that serves Brisket. Guess what; I live in this town in Tn. that the locals claim is the best in the state if not the whole USA! That's right! Go to; "The Blue Moon Café" on the internet in Lebanon, TN. better yet f your in the area give me a shout???
Also want to take the Music City Star train into the City so "her and I" can spend the day sightseeing and maybe take the paddle-wheeler excursion on the Gen. Jackson on the Cumberland. Yes folks: this is going to be "Special". PIEERE

Oh Pieere that sounds wonderful. I just was able to spend three weeks with my dad, who is 93. My sister flew him to CA and we were there to be with him. It was so special to be able to spend that time together. Your plans sound like lots of memories will be made. Have fun!
Your excitement is contagious! I went to Ireland with my Dad back in 2004, just he and I, and from the daughter perspective, she will cherish the memory of your time together as much as you do!
Kinda sad; My daughter had to leave early this Sun the 20th. Her babies; my grans wanted there mommy; so I had to let her go!
Bitter-sweet; but the memories will be remembered forever and now I am looking forward to next June or July when I will go to Michigan for a visit with them.
We had many meals out and had 4 great days of weather. Visited the local Town museum, shown her around town and spent a gorgeous day in Music City. Hung out mostly on Broadway; called Music Row! Went to Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville where we had Conch friiters and quesidelias. What a gorgeous Riverfront where the train stops. Did I say we took a train ride! $20.oo for both for a 60+ mile round trip.
I wish to Thank all who responded to this post and welcomed your comments! PIEERE

Yes, it is bittersweet when our loved ones have to leave us. It sounds like you had a wonderful time and many memories were made. The time between now and next June will go by quickly. I am so happy for you!
We can totally relate. We'd love to bundle them all up and keep them with us, it's so hard to say goodbye to our children. Glad you made such wonderful memories together. Sounds like a wonderful time!
Sherry

Hard to believe my youngest girl is 38+ Yrs. now. I hope to be able to go visit a few relatives in my home town of Plattsburgh NY and then over to see her and the grans in Michigan this coming Spring. I have said before that "life is to short"; if the opportunity in one's lifetime to achieve your "Dream" knocks on your door it's a sign to follow. PIEERE
