Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

They've had it a long time, judging from the photos with the snow piles in the background, and being the end of the season they're looking at sitting on it through the winter. I'd offer less, the worst they can do is say no.

Since I'm new to the RV world I won't try to answer your question, but it LOOKS good:)

Hope you get a good deal! Dana

Vanessa,

I would really like to know more about that one, but if everything is in good shape and a 32-foot fifth wheel is to your liking, it should be a good one.  Before buying, you would want the dealer to raise each side (jacking only at the frame) and check the wheel bearings for play or roughness in turning.  After all, it is about 7 years old.

If you would like to have a brochure for that year, send me a private message with your e-mail address and I'll send you an electronic (pdf file) copy of that year's brochure.  That will let you get an idea of what is standard in a 2006 Mobile Suites.

As has been advised to me by the kind folks on this forum (who know I know absolutely nothing about the mechanics of a vehicle).... it might make sense to hire an independent certified RV mechanic to go over the unit with a fine tooth comb, even at a dealership, especially if it's a used vehicle and has been subject to the elements for a while.

Good luck!

Great choice in floor plan and size (see our signature)!! Price seems really good comparing it to the Kelly Blue Book trade in value for this rig. 16" wheels and tires are still light for this size so would consider upgrading to 17.5" wheels and "H" rated tires. This year also have never lube wheel bearings and I think that in 2006 they were still made in the USA. In the pictures, it appears this rig was taken very good care of, maybe even stored inside as the fiberglass and end caps do not look to have any oxidation. While checking the wheel bearings for play also check spring shackles for alignment and any bending or twisting. If you are not familiar with what to look for in a used RV, I would also recommend using an independent RV Tech. to give it the once over if your are really interested. Even though this is already a good price, I would still try to deal for a lower price since it has been on the lot for a while and this is appears to be more of an auto dealership instead of a RV dealer so they may be more likely to come down more on the asking price. We really love ours, so good luck!!

Seems like a good price. I know Ann-Hank have a 2005 DRV that is a 36 ft model, they changed out the axles and tires to 8K axles and I think the 17.5 in tires. They were going to see if DRV would provide a new weight limit "rating" or whatever it's called. You might PM Ann and see how they've progressed with this, she could probably also provide an estimate of the cost.

One thing I know they didn't like with their model, which looks very close to the same floor plan is that she feels the dining table is too small and they don't use it much. She said there wasn't room to seat people at the table with the other furniture so I'd check out the space and size if you plan to use the table.
