Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Everyone's favorite topic, right? LOL The el cheapo blue plastic hose that came with the travel trailer has some pinholes and is leaking after just 2 uses, and I'm looking for a better hose. What brand/model do you folks recommend? Storage is limited with this trailer as it will be with the caboose, so something that compresses well is probably what I need, and it would be grand if it fit into the bumper but that's not a deal breaker as long as the fittings are easy to remove and store in a tote.
Thanks for mentioning that one. I hadn't heard of it, but I like the idea of the durability of the hose if it gets stepped on or something drops onto it. I'll have to now do some "construction comparisons" between the Thetford and the Rhino.
At present, because we are still sitting permanent until retirement, we went with the EZE Kleen sewer system. It isn't for everyone, and it does have an issue if one's sewer inlet is at near 45 degrees from the coach's output, but because it is PVC, we never have to worry about the line freezing up because the "valleys" in an extendable hose begins to collect ice. (There was a full-timer in Missouri once whose complete hose froze over because of the build-up of ice in it.)

Our Carrilite came with the polychute system, built in hose carrier, with the cam lock fittings. It works great for state and federal parks where there is no onsite sewer. For the times like now, where we are static for awhile, the Rhino stays hooked up.
