Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hi to all.

My wife and I are retired but are still active as we are Gate Attendants for the Corp of Engineers at Navarro Mills Lake in Dawson,Texas. We have been Full Timers since April 2008.

We are very interested with all the input that all of you has shared with the Forum. WE just might learn a thing or two.smile

Hi Alfred,

Welcome to the best RVing forum ever. We have a couple of gate guarders on here. Use the search button blue menu bar at the top and you'll see several posts on the subject. Sure that you'll have great input for the rest of us as well!

Sherry

Alfred,

Once again today, I have to extend a welcome to a Texan to the RV Dreams forums.  (Is there an invasion going on here?)  We are glad to have you as part of the forum family, which is made up of a lot of friendly, helpful, and encouraging folks, who also have a lot of knowledge about RV'ing and the RV lifestyle.

We look forward to your questions and comments, so feel free to ask or comment away.  As I told another Texas couple earlier, the only banned topics are religion, politics, and the OU-Texas rivalry.

However, I'm slightly confused here.  Your mentioned being a gate attendant at Navarro Mills lake, but your signature say something about being an attendant at LibbertyHil.  Is LibbertyHil just one of numerous entrances to Navarro Mills lake?

Terry

Hello, I'm Brad and my wife is Cheryl. We are considering becoming full timers after my wife retires next year. We already have our RV and TV. We've been doing our homework this summer. We're finishing up our longest period of consecutive camping - been out 7 weeks as a trial run. Believe it or not we still like each other! This has been a different type of camping for us. Since our children were little we have always camped for summer vacations and weekend getaways. We are finding out what it's like to spend more time at the campgrounds and what we like and don't like about it. We hope to gather more info from this forum.
