Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hubby took trailer for a stablizer hitch today. His first time pulling trailer. Dealer delivered trlr to our storage site. absolutely no issues pulling! After a very stressful (and hot,...it was over 100 degrees today along the Missouri humidity to go with it) hour backing, adjusting and readjusting we have trlr nearly in the same place. And tonight we have guidelines for backing assisting directions. Thankfully tomorrow we have a pull thru.
Ah, that Missouri humidity! People down here complain about the humidity..........I just laugh and tell them you dont know what humidity is till you live in eastern Missouri!!
Good luck, and most important, be safe and have FUN!!
Are there more than one switch for turning on the water? On our Mobile Suites, there is a switch in the "closet" where the slide controls are that is labeled "Water Pump." However, there is a second, likely a master switch, out in the outside compartment where the water hoses would hook up and where the tank valve controls are located. I say the outside one is a "master" switch because when we've needed to drain hoses because of freezing temperatures, we fill the fresh water tank and turn on the outside switch. I've never turned on the switch on the inside. Shoot, I don't even know if it would make the pump work.
So, check for an extra switch. Incidentally, our outside one is not even marked as a water pump switch. Also, check to see if there are any blown fuses, either in an inside fuse/breaker panel or for an inline fuse at, or near, the water pump.
Your outside "utility" compartment may be a lot different from ours, but here is a photo showing ours and the switch above the outside shower unit is our "master" water pump switch.

We are back home with a very successful first trip behind us! Never got the water to work, even after calls to the service dept at our dealer and they walking us thru the setup. They had to replace the fresh water tank when it failed the pressure test, so they think there may be an issue from that. We carried water from the community faucet for dishes and #1 only use of the black tank. We were able to fill both black and gray to 2/3 before we left our spot. Two major observations from our week adventure are 1) we can roll with the little mishaps of the road and 2) we have no doubt that we will be able to live full time in our new Aviator...very comfortably!!!
The dump station was in a very private location just outside the check-in booth, so we were able to take our time, not be stressed (or worried about people watching the newbies!) we didn't have any issues! We took lots of advice from this forum, we had disinfectant, disposable gloves, etc. so thanks to everyone who posts advice!!
After 2 weeks you have learned enough to not being called a newbie!!!.............now you have enough experience under your belt to watch a newbie attempt what they think is impossible and see them attempt the silly things you never thought was possible...(and keep a strait face )LOL
Congrats....it only gets more fun from here!!
Live , Breathe , Relax!!!!
