Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have two A/C units in our Montana Fifth wheel. The one in the bedroom was just installed last fall. First in the bedroom and now in the living room, when the A/C kicks on I smell what smells like stagnant water. Of course Hubby smells nothing. But then again he never hears any strange sound I hear either. (or hears what I just said).
To get back to my original issue, has anyone else ever noticed such a stench and what to do about it.
Check your rooftop drain & clean it out........remove inside filter turn fan on high and spray Lysol disinfectant up into the unit as it is running to knock down any mold build -up that has accumulated ....Note:A/C should be serviced every season ,Blower motor needs to be lubricated..condenser needs to be washed.....evaporator needs to be washed and filter needs to be replaced

Phyllis,If you smell it it is there.I learned early on in my Gas Company career that if a woman said she smelled gas there was a leak no matter how small.Women just seem to have a better sense of smell that men.Of course this is just a real world observation and has no scientific proof what so ever.
