Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We had a great weekend with my parents. My Dad is 86 years old. He hasn't been up to par this year so this is their first trip out since last year. He drove their class C motor home 100 miles and set it up by himself 2 days before we got there. We spend the weekend mostly talking and cooking. His knees are bad so we didn't walk much. A few years ago he had a stroke so he has slowed down some. Before that my parents made 4 trips to Alaska in the motorhome putting 80,000 miles on it traveling in the summers. I hope all the Dads had a great Father's Day. I know I did.
James
When we got home, Our daughter visited for the afternoon and made the day even better.
Thankfully my 94 year old dad is still with us. He lives with us and we take him camping. He really enjoys it...camping has always been a part of our family's life. My first camping trip was at 3 months.
He has dementia so the brief moments of clarity are jewels that I collect in my mind for later when he's no longer here.
I'm wishing you many more great weekends camping with your parents.
