Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Tonight is our first boondocking night with our new rig at an art show in the artist designated overnight parking at an art show. After a horrendous load in caused by some disorganization, we retreated to our trailer, got some work done, checked Yelp for some local reviews and walked to a restaurant where we thought we would share an appetizer and drink and ended up enjoying a fabulous dinner in addition to our original plans.
So nice to have the option and to know that our house on wheels was parked less than 0.2 miles away. Oh yeah, 2 more weeks and we're free from yard work, everything will either be sold, donated or in storage and we will be free to roam the art show circuit!!!
Meanwhile we're learning the limitations of our new rig, testing how many days/nights we can go with the new fresh / gray / black capacities of the tanks and figuring out if we're going to make it work with just one vehicle or if we're going to need to drive separately to accomodate all the art booth set up "stuff".
Welcome to this wonderful life. You will learn some boondocking tips to help your tanks last longer. When we went to Howard and Linda's Boondocking Rally in February we learned alot and we went two weeks in the desert. Never thought we could do that. You will need alot less on the road than you think so organization is key. It takes time, and that is what we have plenty of now, right!
