Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Received 2 phone calls today , one from my favorite nurse the other from Center for Disease Control.. Atlanta .
After 1 year of shots pills Chemical therapy and all out mayhem.......................I'm out of the Woods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I now have a Sustained undetectable Viral response........that means that the virus can no longer be detected by all testing at this time.
I'm praying for all the other victims of this outbreak that they all get to where I am at , it has been one year almost to the date since it happened and it has been a long hard road....
to those not familiar....I was critical victim of Exeter Hospitals Hepatitis C-1b outbreak which involved 9 hospitals spread out all over the country and a Cardiac tech. that stole drugs and replaced them with dirty needles filled with something else
Thanks for being with me every-one, this forum has been my sanity through it all and kept my focus where it has needed to be.....all my other medical problems that where put on hold during the battle can now be addressed , but most of all I no longer tethered to that hospital anymore!!!!!

In spite of your health issues, you have been a valuable resource of information and humor on the forums here. Now, our hopes are that you will now be more likely to be able to travel, and who knows, perhaps "stumble" across a few of your fans and well wishers.

That is such great news Mike it calls for the HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY Dance!!! You need to dance until Nikki looks at you and says daddy this is just wrong, then pick up her paws and do the HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY Dance again!!
Others may disagree, but I am your biggest fan!!! Where are you this very moment? I am on my way to give you a great big 'ol squeeze hug... I don't care what Nikki thinks!
You are such a huge inspiration to all of us and your sense of humor is unwavering!!! God bless you for who you are and for making us all smile... and for making us laugh out loud most of the time, too! I am soooo happy for you!!!
You are now a perfect example of how the will of God will never lead you where the grace of God will not protect you!
Continued healing and good health and happiness always. You certainly deserve it!!!!! You fought. You won!
Yay!!! So happy to hear the wonderful news, dancing with Tazzy Kat for you, she's not amused!!! So great to hear that you are out of the woods and free to start roaming again, happy journey.
Mike! I'm so very happy for you as well. Lots of people expressed my exact sentiments above, probably even a bit better than I could. I'm also a huge fan; it's already on my bucket list when I hit the road to make sure to meet you!!!
I wasn't aware of your situation, only that you had been ill. I do hope the government or hospital at least paid your medical bills!

Mike - Ditto what Paul said above. I'm so very happy for you! And as others before me have already said, you're an inspiration to all of us here on the forum. I look forward to reading your posts, because although your words make me laugh, they're wise and based in truth. Wishing you all the best! Penny
Lucky Mike, this is such wonderful news!!!!!!!!!! When I read your profile a while back I could just hardly believe so much could happen to someone and they could still have such a positive attitude and sense of humor like you do. I am also one of your biggest fans and try to read all of your posts as they are usually funny but full of wisdom at the same time. If someone wants proof that miracles still happen and prayers are still answered, they just need to ready your story and then read this outcome. Best wishes for continued healing and our prayers are always with you!!

Add me to the long and growing list of fans and people who want to meet you on the road eventually. Your upbeat attitude in the face of adversity is inspiring and infectious.
Great to hear! Once again it can be 'mobile lucky mike'. I don't dance, unless I'm drunk, but I'll play the bongos to give your dance a little rhythm. The settlement should make you more than comfortable for several years.

CongratulationsMike this is great news. You dodged a nasty bullet headed right for your liver. Hope good health and good fortune follows you for awhile and you can get back to living a life more carefree. Make 'em pay!! Be well.
YAY! YAY! YAY! I am so happy for you!!!!! Ditto to what everyone else already said. I had no idea what your illness is but I know I enjoy reading your posts so much. Even though I don't post often I do read just about every day and am so happy that you are cleared and healthy!!!!!!
This is great news and I have happy tears for you. Ditto all the other comments on here. I look forward to meeting you one day. You are an inspiration to us all. Prayers are answered and miracles do come true.
Hey Mike: Wah--Hoo and 123 Scooby_Doo! A modern Medical miracle and your adrenaline must have boosted your energy like a shot of Nitro to a drag car!!! Well maybe not quite that far! LOL! Now you can safely roll on down the hi-ways with the weight off your back. Rollin-Rollin-Rollin-keep those doggies rollin!!! God has blessed you!

We are so very happy for you Mike!! Your humor and knowledge always has me looking for your posts. Living in NH also we are aware of the Exeter Hospitals Hepatitis C-1b outbreak but had no idea that you were a victim. So sorry that you had to go through that. Hopefully we'll run into you someday. Maybe we'll see you this week at Bike Week!

. . . I would keep a close watch on Nikki, as Nikki may well want to "retire as a service dog" and turn you into a "service person". Judging from your exuberant posts, you will likely be up to that task. May God continue to bless you. Nikki has earned some stars in a crown over the last year!
Hit the road Jac..., er...., Mike!

I was not aware of your story - as a nurse of almost 30 years that is a horrible thing to have happen to you!
Congrats on your good news and I will pray for your continued good health
