Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Obsessed

Ok, so I will admit, I am totally, uncontrollably obsessed with full timing.biggrin I work at Falls Park in Sioux Falls, Sd. There are a lot of RV's going in and out of the park and while I am at work I have to hop in my truck and go drive by them all! So if you're ever traveling through Falls Park and see this crazy lady on a John Deere Gator wearing a Chicago White Sox hat and drooling over your rig stop me and say hi! Would love to show you around!

Not to worry Lucky Mike, they won't let me carry duct tape while on the job.

So, Mike, guess she already thought of the duct taping idea since they have confiscated it and won't let her carry any? You know though, it is hard to keep a good worker so I guess they have to do what they have to do.

After a thorough background check, she can get a concealed carry permit(for the duct tape) Then, no one needs to know of her planned escape.

I think most of us started out a little obsessed. I have been obsessed since DW and I decided this is what we want to do. I have focused that obsession toward gaining knowledge and insight about all facets of the lifestyle. This time has helped me identify the parts that excite me and work through the parts that I might have trouble accepting. It has given us time to look at our finances and ensure we can live comfortably. It's allowed us to realize that retiring at 62 is what we should do leaving just 800 days till we can go on the road.

We started out thinking we would go with a class A but changed to a fiver after I bought the tow vehicle. We liked the idea of hauling a Smart car on the truck so we bought the Smart. Two things are left to do, modify the truck and buy the trailer.

I am hoping that the obsession will continue long after we have gone full time.

I must be obsessed with RVing also. I was offered a place to stay room and board free; but have lived in an RV since 1994. I am not ready to give up on this wonderful life style yet. I told them that I wasn't ready for a rocking chair and an old age home just yet. Just roll me over---patch me up---give me some happy medicine and I'm rip roaring and ready to rock and roll!!! Ok; brain.. the heart and body says take it easy!!!
