Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I know this is very specific to each rig, but has anyone added a larger fresh tank, and is that hard or expensive? I've been going over the owner's manual on my Fleetwood Fiesta 26Q, and it only has a 30 gallon fresh tank. (All the other Fiesta models have 60)
you can do it.....find your fresh tank and see how much room is available to add another tank or switch out the tank for a larger......you also might want to check the size of your black and grey tank.....you want them to be able to handle the capacity of the fresh water plus 10 or 20 reserve

The fresh tank is under one of the dinette seats, with the generator below it, so I don't know how doable it all will be. The fresh is 30, black 30, grey 37. Someone is coming today to help put in the solar, so maybe I will have him look at that too.
its possible...trust me there is dead storage space somewhere on the floor level of the coach......is there storage under the rear bed?....or under the sofa bed?......corner cabinet kitchen area...you will be amazed at how much dead space is in a coach and the tanks come in all shapes and sizes

I know there are water bladders that come in all sizes as well, and will fit in weird spaces. I would be more concerned with the added weight. Best idea I saw was a friend who was out in Q-town and bought a water bladder that fit in the back of his pickup truck, then he used a RV water pump to transfer the water to his onboard tank.

I had the guy who did my solar panels take a look today; no space under the coach, no space inside, but, we can put one in the rear trunk. I think water weighs about 8 lbs per gallon, so a 40 gallon tank would be around 320 lbs. Tomorrow, I'm clearing out the boot, and let's see what we have!
When I first started RV'ing, my camper only held 30 gallons of water and there was no place to install a bigger tank but what I did was to buy some 6 gallon water jugs and hauled them in the shower stall to my camp site and then stacked them outside under the camper until I needed more water in the tank. It was a cheap fix and on the plus side you could use them to get more water when I traveled to town.

Here is the storage compartment I think I can fit a 16 gallon in the smaller side. I guess I'll bite the bullet and order it Monday, and hope it works!
