Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Jo and I have a tendency to go walk the roads in the RV park next to our location in the mobile home park. On a recent walk, we came across an RV'er who really seems to be wanting to take a lot of their stuff with them. This trailer is a dual deck unit with the upper deck being capable of being lowered straight down in order to unload anything that is carried above. In this case, they are carrying their boat, complete with its own trailer.
So, for those that just can't seem to "purge" themselves of quite enough "stuff," this might be a solution, provided your motorhome is big enough.
The trailers are made by Built Rite Trailers. Their "factory" is located in Paxton, Nebraska.

LOL, I don't dare show Dale this photo. He's going through stuff right now that moved here with us 11 1/2 years ago, he hasn't looked at it since then and still doesn't want to get rid of it. He keeps putting stuff aside in the "if we have enough room stack".
If Dale keeps insisting, tell him he will have to go with the "second option."
We walked the RV park again this evening and there were two Scamp fifth wheel trailers on the same row, both with California tags. (Jo and I suspect that they may be traveling together.) At any rate, these are definitely at the other end of the RV spectrum from the first rig I photographed in this thread.
I can remember back decades ago when we first looked at fifth wheel campers when they were a new item. The advantage of the Scamps over those is that they did go ahead and raise the roofline on the Scamps to allow more room in the bedroom. The original fifth wheels we saw, one literally crawled into bed.

A few months ago, a MH with that same kind of trailer came into our campground for a couple of nights. I was amazed at how much stuff those folks were carrying with them! But we all have our own view of what we "need", & I'm sure they have lots of fun with the toys they bring along.
I recently became acquainted with a fellow who fulltimes... on a bicycle with a small cart for hauling his tent and gear. He's been on the road for years and says he doesn't see himself ever settling down in a house again as long as his health holds out.
