Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

TV Upgrade Mounting Options

We are still dreaming and searching for our new home and have narrowed it down to a DP.  Most DP's in our price range have the CRT type TVs.  Since we own three LCD tvs, I figure to swap a couple in during our pre-flight preparations.  One outside and one in the bedroom can be easily mounted using articulating mounts.  What I want to do, if our DP has one up high over the ****pit area, is to have the ability to lower it to eye level when we are stationary and raise it for travel.  I have a disc issue in my neck and don't want to be looking up at the TV.  In other words, instead of articulating side to side, I want to go up and down.  Have any of you folks seen such a mount?  I have thought of buying an articulating mount and mounting it sideways, but I would rather have something made for this application. Thanks.

I will look today for a brand name.....in my coach the mount the tv is on allows the tv to be flat up against the ceiling and locks , when the tv is used it pulls forward to unlock and swings down and locks it also allows to turn the TV right or left for viewing.....

I have a 21" led flat and it works well!!.....will post the name later today

Here is a link to the website for the mount....it is considered an under cabinet mount

There are a few choices ,and it will take some designing but yes there are a few up and down electric TV mounts. These mounts are typically used for TV 's that raise and lower out of cabinets for hidden storage but you can install them in any way that suits your needs.
