Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Class B and traveling north during the winter

Hi. I am planning on retiring in two years and taking to road in a class B. It will just be me and my dog. I have been researching different vehicles and I really like LTV -- especially the Serenity, but, I want to be able to go north in the winter. Is there a way to winterize a RV or do I need to look for one that is already winterized. I know that Triple E has a winterized Class C, but I really don't want to go that large. What about Roadtrek? Other options.

I really appreciate the support of this group and look forward to hearing your suggestions.

RE: Class B and winter travel

What you are looking for is a True Four Season class B, you will not be happy trying to convert one after the fact. I know you don't want to go as large as the Triple E but that really is one of the best 4 season units out there. You could call Coach House in Florida they might be able to help. And also speak to LTV. One other option might be Great West Van and lastly Pleasurway....good luck, keep us posted.

RE: Class B and traveling north during the winter

Jill, I'm looking at retiring in April of 2014 so I'm shopping and researching as well.  I would also like a Class C or B that has insulated tanks and can deal with cooler temps on occasion if I get caught in an early or late snow in the mountains.   Will be really interested in what you find.  I will be happy to revert with anything interesting I find.

Kathy

Counting down the months!
