Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My name is Jeanne and I'm about to purchase my first RV. This will be my full time residence. I'm downsizing my life and hoping to be debt free in 5 yrs.
A friend told me about this forum. I have a LOT of reading to do!! I welcome all input!
Welcome to a great forum and a great lifestyle. Ask as many questions as possible no matter what it is as there is definitely someone here that will know something about what you are asking. We fond the key is to visit as many shows as possible and gather up all your info and breakdown the pros and cons of all the different types of RV's. There is no one set RV for everyone as we all have different needs and/ or requirements. If you have never RV'ed before I would suggest you rent a small Class C or B and take it out for a weekend to get a feel of what you may be in store for.
Good Luck,
Les

Howdy and thank you for the suggestions! I went to a bike rally last May and "lived" in a class C for 3+ days. 1800 sq ft to about 250 sq ft is going to be quite an adjustment BUT...I have a bigger goal in mind so this is my "carrot" of tolerance.
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. You definitely have found a good source for information, so feel free to ask any questions about RV's or the RV lifestyle that comes to mind. There are no "dumb" questions, so don't let one hold you up.
Glad to have you as part of the family.
Terry
