Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

New to posting, been reading for years!!

Hello,  As the subject line says we have been reading RV Dreams for about 3 years now - but never participated.  We are Keith and Jeanne Kozlovsky from Wauwatosa, Wi.  It has been a cold winter up here.   We participated in RV Dreams Spring Rally just a few weeks ago - in Elephant Butte, New Mexico.  We enjoyed the weather there even tho the locals said it was cool for the time of year. What we really enjoyed were the seminars and sessions put on by Howard and Linda.  They were so imformative.  They also did a great job of helping all the people get to know each other.  The open house of RVs at the rally was one of our favorites (as I guess is usually the case).

Jeanne is retired now - for a total of 4 months and Keith will retire at the end of this year.  We then plan to get into the search for a 5th Wheel and truck seriously.  We have done alot of shows and investigating online - but the buying needs to wait until 2014.  The house will be put on the market probably late March 2014.  Our son and his wife live here in Milwaukee area and we have three lovely granddaughters.  That is the hard part - planning the move away from here, where they live.  But we will spend our summers and Christmas holiday back in WI with them.   We will start posting questions now that we are within a year (we hope!) of our dream. Thank you all for being here.

Keith and Jeanne,

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums as active participants.  No doubt that you already know a lot about a lot of us, and as such, you are aware that you are welcomed to ask questions and make comments.  Glad to have you as part of the family.

As you probably know, but I'll repeat it, when doing your research, choose the RV first and then choose a truck to pull it.  It is just too easy to have more trailer than truck and get into issues later.  Also, don't rule out other options such as motorhomes, as there are distinct advantages to each type.

Terry

Welcome!! smile

Glad you decided to participate!

I'm sure you already know what a great bunch of folks are on this forum. They're all sitting at their keyboards just waiting for you and others to ask questions.

We really like Wisconsin. We have family up there and usually get up to the "Dells" for a family reunion every summer.

Good luck with your plans.

Jim

Welcome to the posting side of the forum! Harry and I planned for three years as well, and fair warning...that last year goes by FAST! smile Like you, we plan to return to our home area each summer to spend time with family. We also keep in touch using technology - love Skype!

Have fun on the whirlwind ride coming up! biggrin

Jeanne and Keith welcome aboard the Dream train! We have been at it now 8 months now and wonder now why we waited so long! We back visiting and doing business in Sioux Falls this week and will surely wave when we pass thru WI as we head back east later this week for our workamper jobs. The wealth of knowledge here in this forum is tremendous and we have found everyone ready, willing and able to help. Good luck and safe travels. Les

Keith & Jeannie,

Welcome to the posting side! Glad to have you and look forward to your postings about your fifth wheel and truck. The Rally's are wonderful (we did last fall) and hope we are on the same side of the country with Howard & Linda to see them again soon and attend another Rally.

From a former Yooper,
Sherry
