Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My DH just retired March 30. We have a 2013 Fleetwood 5th wheel ordered. We are going fulltime RVing! We camped for years when the kids were younger. They are all grown now, so we're hitting the road come June 1st. Right now we are looking for a Toad. We've been perusing this sight and have gotten a lot of great information about full time camping.
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. You will find the folks here to be knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and encouraging. Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind and we'll all do our best to help you along.
When you say "Toad" are you planning on towing a second vehicle behind your trailer? If you are, be sure that the truck you buy is large enough with respect to weight capacities to be able to tow the fifth wheel and the "toad." The reason I mention this is because you said in your profile's biography that you were looking for a truck for towing.
If you are planning on towing both a fifth wheel and a second vehicle (referred to as double-towing or triple-towing) then this website might be helpful in seeing where you can tow in that fashion and how long your rig can be.
