Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Thank you to you all.

Hearing "Astoria" made me think about the Dungeness Crab Cakes at the Sunday Farmer's market. There is a lady there who does nothing else and she always has a line because they are so good. I just checked and the market doesn't start back up until May 12th. You will have to come back later and try them.

Dooger's in Warrenton has cheap appetizers in bar from 4 to 6.  They have a menu on each table, check it out.  In summer there is often a line, but it should be easy this time of year.   Burgers, plates of oysters and prawns and bowls of clam chowder are "appetizers" rangin from about $2.50 to $4.  Each day Doogers also has a $2 dessert, normally a pie.  I got you excited about crab cakes and let you down so I felt I better give you another food tip.

We are new to owning a motor home so questions seem to always rise up on every trip. Again we are out on a 5 day trip up the northern coast of Oregon and we had a problem arise that I couldn't figure out. So I searched the forum and again your combined wisdom came through and solved the problem in a matter of seconds. This is such a powerful tool that we have here and so thankful to you all. Someday we will have that same wisdom and be able to help others as I have been helped on here many times. By the way it has been beautiful here in Astoria and today they are calling for sunny weather in the 70's. Just wonderful.

Nothing like the Oregon coast on a beautiful warm sunny day. We are following the 101 home again this year. Fingers crossed for a good stretch of weather.

It was a beautiful day here in Astoria. Our friends here took us over to the Washington side of the Columbia and up to Long Beach, North Head Lighthouse, and the Jetty and beach in that same area. We had a great lunch at Castaways Seafood Grille in Long Beach. I will say when in Astoria I would eat at the Wet Dog Brewpub as we had a couple of great meals there and the beer is also great. Tomorrow we head back home to Eugene. I have planned a brunch stop at Camp 18 on Hwy26. I have heard wonderful things about it.
Bill we plan on coming back so we will try and check out the farmers market as I like supporting from them. We also will probably stay at the Lewis and Clark RV Park as our stay has been very nice. Just out our front window is the golf course. Just have to say it was a nice spot only a couple of miles from downtown Astoria.

We will be in Eugene in late April for some maintenance on our motorhome. It is a common stop for us.

We stay on the Washington side of the river in Ilwaco and Seaview since we have membership campgrounds there and family in Chinook. Chinook is the town you slowed to 35mph going to Long Beach. We love that whole area.
