Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RV Parks in Texas Recommendations

Hello all - Does anyone have a recommendation for a RV park in Texas?  We are looking for a park that has large, shaded, secluded sites with full hook up and Wifi.  Are there any out there?

Thanks for responding - I've been to rvparkreviews but was wondering about any other parks.  We are looking in the gulf side around Corpus Christi/Galveston area.

You may have put too many "must haves" in since I have found few in our travels in 49 states and 6 Canadian Provinces that have your whole list. But we don't look for some of the list, like WiFi, secluded and shade.  Shade you will find in some of that area, but an amazing amount of Texas is wide open, at least in the RV parks. A quick search in Rockport shows up A Bay Breeze RV Park, http://rvparkreviews.com/regions/Texas/Rockport.html might be close.  I checked that area since I know there are trees when we stayed close by at a place that did not have WiFi.

Mary> It's 250 miles between the two places. That's a lot of territory to look for CGs without narrowing it down to a more specific area. Since the Gulf Coast is a tourist area, there are many, many campgrounds.

You didn't say when you'd be visiting the area, but if it's in the summer months where the temps are at 100 or above, shade won't matter. That's like changing from long pants to shorts and then getting back in the oven.
