Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Where to begin........Watched rving commercials on tv. Looked on kijiji Canada and made a deal with someone to buy an RV. So I bought a small 21' 1981 heritage c class motorhome. Got a great deal on it with low mileage for the year and in pretty good shape. Figured what a perfect starter. My wife came home from work and told her what I did. All of a sudden, we both decide to sell our very large home, move to a small apartment, and travel more. After the move which takes place in 2 months, we Pick up the RV and will be on the Road for weekends effective May 24, 2013. Don't really know anything about the motorhome accept how to drive it. Want to meet new people and adventure. Now registered on this site and a couple others. With this motorhome as a start. We want to eventually get into the full time aspect and get a larger one.
Looking forward to reading about and learning tips etc.

Welcome Banana Nuts to the best RVing forum on the web. Post any questions you might have and you'll get helpful replies but recommend you use the search button in the top blue menu bar on the forum because its probably already been asked.
Great wife you have!!

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. I think you will find the folks here to be very helpful with any questions and concerns that you may have with both the topics of RV's and of the lifestyle, whether it be full or part time RV'ing. Glad to have you as part of the family.
We are looking forward to any questions and comments because we all tend to learn from each other. By the way, there are no "dumb" questions. The only "dumb" ones are those that don't get asked and thus get an answer. The school of "hard knocks" can be an expensive education.

Thank you all for the nice welcome messages. I have already learned a lot from this website and Ginger and I are getting excited. We have now moved our plans ahead and the house contents sale is in two weeks and then we move in three. We did not realize how much more was involved with Full Time RVing. Once we learn more about what we need in an RV we shall look at the bigger type. So the smaller Class C we have is going to be a great start but we have already learned that the Class A will be what we require in the future. I will be looking at buying one in the fall. But my first question is, Can you get better deals buying in the winter?
