Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Morning everyone! Any other Wannabes out there who are having RVing withdrawal? 116 days to retirement. Yeah! Still haven't convinced Hubby that fulltiming is the way to go, so we will be part-time fulltimers. If that's the best I can get, I'll take it! We put the Tradewind in storage in November and I sure am missing her! But most of all I miss being on the road in the exploring mode. Hurry up June! But wait, no, have to get this house sold so we can move in June to a place closer to family, so when we are in Iowa we can see them easily. Tons of stuff to do before I can get her listed for sale, so I better not wish time away. It is too precious!
Just had to say, I miss RVing! Hope to meet some of you on the road this year.
Don't forget to get your ST. Joseph statue. Sold our house in about 3 weeks. It is tough at first to downsize but, believe me, it gets easier as you go along. Best thing I ever did. We are enjoying ourselves tothe fullest as we never know what tomorrow may bring. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.
I like that, Lucky Mike, "a Stick and Brick is nothing but a giant waiting room.........". I am going to have to steal that . Come join "US". It's alot of fun out here.
Oh my, that is cool!! Hope we will meet out on the road. We will be moving this summer, but after the move is complete we will hit the road. If the house doesn't sell right away, we are hitting the road and we'll come back if we get a call. Then move to the next house, Hubby won't give up a house. We are hoping to spend at least 6 month every year on the road. I'm so hoping to meet many of the RV-Dreams family out on the road. The encouragment and advice given on this site has been incredible!
If the house doesn't sell, we are planning on spending June/July in Wyoming and Oregon. Otherwise, we hope to hit the road for a long trip in the fall. I've promised our children (both grown) that we will try to be around during the holidays, but the rest of the year is wide open.
