Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Need email for RV's4Less,Knoxville, TN

Would anyone happen to have this dealerships email? We tried to contact via their web site and it does not work.

We are looking to get a 2014 build sheet for the DRV Mobile Suites. We are looking to purchase by this spring/summer-yippee! smile

Thanks all, and Happy New Year.

Linda,

You might also try Rolling Retreats as well since they are a DRV Dealer too.  They have only been in business for 1 year as a full DRV dealer, but they have been recognized as being among the top 10 DRV dealers.

Alicia is who you would want to visit with regarding build sheets and pricing.  They don't list their prices online, but since they are in the top 10, I think it is because they are pricing pretty low.  I do know that Slade goes to the factory to pick up any that they order for stock or for customers.  That is so that he can look them over really good before he leaves the factory so any "fixes" needed can be done right away.

Terry & Jo,

Thank you for alicia's email, I was hesitant to start with them as their place is way too far away from us, but perhaps they will meet us at the factory :)

All,

We have started to get quotes from a few dealers on the MS 2014's, its very exciting and nerve racking at the same time :/ One dealership has "non-resident fees" - in PA - and that was a dealbreaker right there. It looks like the 2014's have a lot more standard features in their Mobile Suites ~ I can not understand what the delay is with DVR to get a new brochure and update their web site ~>its 2013 after all biggrin

So thanks to everyone, we will be seeking your wisdom for this phase of the process as we go along. We are trying to get at least 3 quotes to compare.

Have a Happy & Peaceful New Year Dreamers!

Linda,

This isn't a new thing with DRV with regards to updating their brochures online.  They have been known to wait until after the Louisville dealer show in the fall before putting out brochures.  They are known for putting in new "standard features" prior to the new introduction of model years, so they also wait sometimes to put that info in the brochure before publishing new ones.

I'll check with Alicia and see if they have received any new brochures.  I have electronic versions of almost all of their brochures since they went into building the Suites, so if I can get a hard copy one from Alicia, I can scan in all the pages and create my own pdf file of a 2014 brochure.

Be sure and check with Alicia and Slade at Rolling Retreats.  I know that they have sold to people in other states, including New York and that they have delivered the units themselves to Houston and to Iowa.  The Iowa one was easy because all they had to do way pick it up at the factory and drop it off at the new owner's before heading home.

Good luck with the research and planning.  It can be frustrating and challenging, but it can also be a hoot.

Terry

Do any of these dealers ever have the tow vehicles available for sale as well, or should I plan on going to one state to buy the RV, then another state to buy the truck, then who knows where to have the hitch installed?

Cheryl,

I'm not sure you would be interested, but Delaine and Lindy over on SOITC has their 2010 Mobile Suites for sale.  They also have a GM truck with a hauler bed that they would be willing to sell with the trailer.  Check out this link:

Delaine and Lindy's Mobile Suite and Truck

It is likely that the RV dealers will not have both trucks and RV's, unless someone at the dealership would be willing to sell their own vehicle.  The only reason I would buy in two different states, at least that comes to mind immediately, is so I could buy the truck in a state with lower tag, tax and title prices.

However, I've never done it that way, so there may be others here that would be able to give you good reasons for doing it that way.

Terry

Thanks Terry. Sometimes my mind works way faster than my mouth or hands, so what I say or type makes no sense!!! Sorry 'bout that.

The reason I would probably buy the truck in a different state is because I would be looking for a used one, which most likely would be located on the internet.

Thanks also for the referral. Unfortunately, I have to sell my house first so I have the cash to buy the rig and truck. I will contact them, though, in case it's still available.
