Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

No Federal parks only or COE Areas...but both of these are in every state in some way shape or form.........Refer to national park website for uses with the golden age passport.

I have primarily used nothing but coe and federal parks in my travels....plus boondocking I wouldnt have it any other way!!

Idaho state parks offer seniors a 50% discount and one doesn't need to be a resident of the state.

We found a couple years ago that Louisana State Parks honor the Golden Age  Passport.

Some states use the card as proof of age/disablity and then will give you a discount, but don't offically "honor" them.

Louisiana used to for everyone. Now you must be a resident. Hubby who USED to be a resident doesn't count. Their system changed about two years ago much to our disappointment.

Missouri state parks are reasonably priced. There is a new fee schedule this year, but prices are still pretty good. A "family campsite" I believe is a double one. Here's the new fee schedule: http://mostateparks.com/sites/default/files/2013rates_effective130501.pdf

did alot of research this winter for summer travel......alot of parks (east coast) are opening late and cutting back on staff and discounts....even the golden age card and disability are taking a hit.......the government is allowing private companies to operate the parks and the rules are now different for each company. its definitely going to be a call before you go issue

Prep up on your boondocking skills....this is going to be felt all over......its hard to believe it costs more to give me less in the woods with volunteers doing the work........who says you cant get something for nothing!!!! just ask the government!!
