Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I would like to thank all the folks who provided information and help during our decision process when selecting our RV. Lots of good advice was received. I will single out RvRon, Paul Dahl and Steve Conrad ---as they were sort of mentors providing some wonderful assistance both in the selection process and items needed for towing etc.
A very special thanks to Mark Polk of RV101 education
He and his videos provided me with what I consider a wealth of knowledge and in the process both Mark and his wife Dawn became special RV friends within this wonderful RV community.
After 8 wonderful but short months we find it necessary to stop our full time life style. A situation has come about that leaves us no alternative but that of stopping our journey. We will put down roots in the Punta Gorda FL. area.
It was a great experience and many wonderful memories will be embedded in our minds and hearts forever.
Most likey during February 2013 our 31' Class C Nexus RV (DREAMCATCHERS) will be placed on consignment at the NEXUS facility in Elkhart Indiana. Tell them Dick Secor sent you!!! www.nexusrv.com
So again thank you to all and safe travels.
Dick (Rvpainter) and DW Melissa

As I've often said, it's better to have tasted the fulltime RV life even for a short time than to have wished for it and not done it at all! It was my pleasure to help you out, Dick.

RVing probably not a reality any more.It was a good time while it lasted.
Thanks for the replies folks - we built up a lifetime of memories during our 8 months on the road. We are so glad we got out there and did "our thang!!!!"
I almost feel like we are part of a bigger 'family', I have followed your Blog since day 1 and was surprised to see everything evolve so quickly once you got to Punte Gorda, but obviously from what you have written, this is your 'new home'. I wish you both the very best for now and the future...keep painting/writing and enjoying every day!!! Ya'll come back now, hear? Huggs Kim x

Thanks Kim - this decision has been a real struggle for us and we are saddened but due to various reasons we feel this is a decision we had to make. The 8 months and 10,000 miles were wonderful - a life time of memories resulted. Now onto creating some more memories.
