Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My Wonderful Husband was in Marines Infantry ( aka grunt) and we have called ourselves the Grunt family for years. Now we are making a HUGE lifestyle change and giving up everything that we have worked really hard for to pursue a life of more freedom and simplicity and becoming fulltime RVer. We have a opportunity coming up that will allow us to do this, our timeline is unknown right now but should be within 6mths to a year. Our traveling group will be Hugo (aka hubby), honeygrunt (aka wifie), Divagrunt (aka daughter 8yo), Devilpup (aka Son 6yo) and our Belgin Malinois (aka Tink), and our daughters Chihuahua (aka chloe, but we call her Ratta). We've been lurking the RV forums and looking at ALOT of RV's and trying to get educated before we hit the road.
We love finding out where people are going and what they are doing and it makes us EXTREMELY Jealous that we cant leave yet. SOON WE HOPE.
Like we have mentioned, we have been looking at alot of RV's and we think we found our new home and it is Open Range 427BHS. Seems to have most of the features that we are looking for in an RV.
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. Since you've been reading for a while, you already know that there are a lot of friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable folks here. When you have questions, feel free to ask them. You'll get a lot of good answers and alternative ideas and just a few smart-alecky ones as well.
Thanks for your service to our country and thanks to the family for making sacrifices for the one serving. You have all "served" even if you didn't paid for your service.
Terry

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your service to our great country, Daddy Grunt! We are wannabes, too, and I have been doing my homework for months, now. You should see the spreadsheets I have put together. I have even figured out how much we can 'save' by getting rid of our sticks and bricks. It's a whopper!
I am eligible for retirement exactly 39 weeks from today! Like you, we CAN'T WAIT to hit the road. As you have questions, ask away! There is plenty of experience here, and very kind and gentle people who are willing to share with us newbies!
Welcome to the forum . . . it's nice to see more families hitting the road! Open Range are nice rigs . . . just make sure it's durable enough for fulltime living.
