Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Most reccomend a product called Dicor.I used the self leveling stuff.I inspected mine every 6 months or so and if it looked like is shrunk or pulled loose I just cleaned it good with a rubber roof cleaner and spread it on.Remove any loose areas of caulk first.

upgraded to 5th wheel in february after four years with travel trailer, 22,000 miles now in october with big-ass 3500 dually silverado, love every minute of it. do all my own maintenance as remodeling is my line of work, but want to keep my roof structure as good as possible(yes i'm anal). any do-it yourselfers out there with some advice? thanks in advance. i think i'm going to like this!
Keep it clean with products made specifically for EPDM(rubber) roofs.Nothing with petroleum products.Check all seems and areas that are sealed to make sure it hasn't been compromised.

thanks racerguy! what about the seams, if there are cracks, how do you maintain them? something in a caulk tube or some product to brush on? my 5th wheeler is only 1 year old but i like to keep things as new as possible
I don't mean to hijack the thread but it falls under roof maintenance so I hope you will excuse. I have my "new to us" fiver currently parked full time at a campground and as I was preparing to winterize I was up on the roof to clean leaves and debris and somewhat supprised to see the amount of dirt and moss on thye roof. What would be the preferred method of cleaning? Are there special cleaners that are reccommended?
Thanks for all the help
Mike

There are special cleaners available at any RV store. Also Spic and Span works well.As I stated above just be sure to not use anything that has petroleum products in it.
