Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Dang,,,, I woke up this morning and realized the heat pump wasn't able to generate any heat from the chilled 31 degree air outside so on came the gas. Hmmm,,, let me check the weather down south,,,, yep,,, time to go LOL!!!
Pace yourselves. We dropped south a little too fast and hit 95 degree temperatures. We compensated by seeking higher elevation and the temps are much better here at 3,200 feet.

It rained all night last night so it stayed a bit warmer,, 34. Supposed to be around 50 as a high for the next couple days with rain. Having to turn on the air conditioning sounds pretty good. The first snow fell last night just up the road a piece in the Siskiyou Pass.
I guess dealing with the weather for a week or two will make us appriciate being south when we finally get there LOL!!
Well we had graupel (spelling) last night. Never even heard of it being from so cal. My son had to Explain it to me. Tried to bring the slides in his morning and realized there half an inch of ice on them.. Can you say learning curve. Went up on the roof to brush the ice off the slides but the roof had too much ice as well. Interesting morning to say the least.
I didn't know what graupel was either, but I have encountered it as "snow pellets" after looking it up online. If it will get better it is best to wait for the ice to melt before moving since that same ice can be on the roads as black ice.

Prefer a little farther south but right now we are hunkered down for a couple of months in Denver waiting for the new grand baby. Hoping for a warm fall and early winter. Only an inch or so of snow today.

I'm in the Denver area also & got about 4" of snow last night. Forecast is for 1 - 3 more inches tonight. Sure do enjoy the fireplace in the rig. Makes it feel nice & cozy as you watch the snow pile up outside!
Time to start moving for sure! 80's & 90's my perfect weather. Has started to cool down here in AZ. High yesterday 75 but low last night 39! Good thing we brought in the dwarf lemon & lime trees. I'm going to really miss those when we go full time! Haven't figured out a way to take one. Did see a window box rigged up on the back bumper as a traveling herb garden. Wonder if that would actually work?
Stay warm & dry

We left NC and had to come north since Mom is now in hospice care. The leaves are beautiful here in NJ and we snagged another great spot here at Timberlane Campground. The weather has been fairly mild waiting on this hurricane Sandy. I guess our travel southwest is on hold for now, time to get out some 'winter' clothing.
Loretta; Hope all your aspirations come together! Take care and be prepared to batten down the hatches! Prayers sent.
I awoke to a chilly rain; 46 w/windchill of 39. Suppose to be in the low to mid-30's for a few nights. I am well inland, 25 miles East of the Music City in Lebanon Tn. However the rain stopped and it suppose to be clear and cold nights with high in the 50-60 degree range. quite a drop from the low 80's on Thursday. PIEERE

Thank you Pierre. This morning we woke to temps in the 60's. It is close to 70 now at 11:00am. After Sandy comes to visit it is supposed to go to more normal fall temperatures. Let's just hope there is no snow in the forecast.
OHH Dear - It's cold outside here in northern Michigan. Woke up this morning to just a drizzle to make coffee with. Looks like tonight we leave the water running just a little so it won't freeze again and tomorrow hubby is going to install the heat tape on the water line. I can't wait till December 1 when hunting season ends and we can head south!!!
Mmmmm,, frozen water lines,, what fun. We are a couple hours north in Harrisburg now. It's been in the 50's at night so no need for heat. Headed up to Portland for a week today. Should be upper 40's for low and close to 60 for a high all week. Visiting family and friends before hitting the road in 2 weeks. Wait,,, I guess we ARE on the road LOL!!
