Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
What a whirlwind since the OR rally!! Our house is in escrow and yesterday we went to Pasco and met our new dream home. We put a hold deposit on a 2005 Mobile Suites 36ck3. The owners are the GREATEST, they are even going to deliver it to us before our escrow closes so we can be ready for the road on November 26. Now we have to get a truck. We sort of put the cart before the horse. See you on the road, Hank & Ann

Great news!! Wishing you the best, guess next time we pass you on I-5 we will be looking for something other than the Sprinter Van towing the jeep. Hope all goes well and you are on the road soon!
Congratulations Hank and Ann. If your new Mobile Suites pleases you as much as ours pleases us, I don't think you will regret it. Actually, it is usually better to at least choose the RV that one wants before buying a truck. That way, one goes into the truck purchase with the knowledge of how big of a truck one needs to get. Have fun with looking for the right truck for you. Needless to say, with a Mobile Suites, I highly recommend a dually.

Thanks everyone. Hank is looking at a 2011 Ford F350 DRW, checking out which hitch is the best for the Moble Suits. The truck that was hualing it had a B & W. Anyone have suggestions .
Sherry, I made the Upside Salsa corn bread, but it was the night we got the offer and I had had a drink and was a bit rattled, so didn't follow the directions very close. I did manage to write down what I did, so will send that to you later. Main thing was I used more cheese, made my own corn bread and added jalopena and serrano chilies. We both really liked it. Ann
You might also ask the owner what his trailer weighs. The B&W Companion fifth wheel is only rated to 18,000 lbs, and that one is their heaviest. While your trailer may very well fall below that 18,000 lbs limit, will it give you any "cushion" as far as weight is concerned? For consideration, our 38' Mobile Suites has a GVWR of 18,500 lbs.
B&W certainly does have a lot of folks that have their hitches and are very pleased with the product. In our case, we chose a Reese hitch rated at 22,000 lbs to give us the cushion that I I preferred.

Ann, I am laughing out loud about trying to cook the night you got the offer! Can't wait to get your full recipe notes and still looking for that hot sauce, that I "think" I remember the brand. Your truck sounds great. So happy for you and Hank!!

That is great to hear! I got a great offer on my place too, and it's pending inspection! I had so much fun at the Oregon rally, I'm making tentative plans to go to the Boondocking Rally in February!
Ann-Hank, congratulations on such a quick sale!! We have a 2006 Mobile Suites and hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours. Really feel that earlier years used better materials even if they don't have all the latest amenities. We also have done several upgrades over the years that were still allot less expensive than purchasing a new rig.
