Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
During a 6.8 I looked across the street and the telephone poles looked like those Hawaiian Dancer bobble dolls you put on your dashboard. As I ran down the hallway I bounced from one side to the other.
Once they're over and no damage or injuries you begin to wonder what the big one is going to be like....

Back many, many moons ago, I was stationed near Petaluma, California while in the Army. Our barracks were such that we had 2 or 4 man rooms. One day, the door on my room rattled as I was writing a letter to Jo and I thought it was someone wanting to come in. I said, "Come on in," but there was no response.
I got up and went to open the door to see who might have been playing tricks on me. Just as opened the door and looked toward the front entrance to the barracks this buck naked man was running outside with his towel in his hand. (That's right.....the towel wasn't around him.) He was one of the guys in my section at work and he had been raised in California. He knew enough about earthquakes that he was getting out and the dumb Okie (me) just watched in wonder.

I lived thrunthe big Northridge earthquake in So Cal. For months I wasn't sure if the dizziness I was feeling was aftershocks or normal. Really scary when we had to drive thru an overpass!!! One never knew when they would come down! Lucky Mike, you ain't seen nothin' yet! : )

A 5.3 hit last night in central California. Everybody in the house got all excited. Seems like the earth is getting awfully shakey here lately. If we are getting close to the big one I hope it waits till I have a fiver bought. I'm thinking maybe there are too many people in China throwing us off balance and its just a shimmy at high speed.

I'd be happy to try and overcome my dislike of everything brown. I'd be overjoyed to try if I could sell that house in Mesa and put that money in an air conditioned fiver!
