Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Picking up new 5'er next week !

Well we will pick up our new 5'er next friday. We ended up buying from Outdoor Store @ Camping World in

Churchville, New York. We bought the one we looked at in Hershey, 2013 Montana 3700LE. This will be the

one we start extended rving with. We started cleaning out our toyhauler where does all the stuff come from.

I mean it's only an rv used for short trips maybe up to a week long. I think I filled up one side of my garage.

Time to put the new rig on a diet. Who needs 2 slow cookers, 3 coffee pots, Christmas Tree, 2 light up pumpkins,

this is just a start. Who's coming to dinner I bet we could serve 8 people before starting on paper plates. Most

of the time we camp by ourselfs. I know why most rv's are over weight now. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers

as we travel need week. I hate going anywhere near DC I will be using my new Rand McNally GPS I bought at

the Hershey Show. Take care and have a good week. biggrin

John,

Don't rely on any GPS system too much.  Be sure and look at maps.  A couple of different folks have told me that the GPS units have tried to route them onto routes/turnpikes/whatever that are for passenger cars ONLY.

Have a good trip and just be safe and easy with it.

Congratulations! Now just wait until you start cleaning out your house. You did know that if you put two things into an otherwise empty box, and put the box in a dark place, within six months the box will be full of all sorts of "interesting" stuff. None of the 20 pairs of pliers that you have purchased over the years will show up, though.

Congrats! We love our Montana. We also have the Rand McNally GPS - trucker/RV version. It has been GREAT. No low bridges, no u-turns, it really helps :)

Congratulations on the new unit. We pick up ours in about 4weeks so I understand your excitement. We saw the Montana's at the show. They are a good looking unit. Good Luck!
