Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Someone asked me today "why such a large coach"..........my answer Im full timing , Im enjoying the recreational part of it, but this is home...I have just spent the near part of a year confined to the inside of 3 coaches (keep selling Em") for medical reasons and I use to think a rainy day or bad weather was bad in smaller rigs.......I am presently in in a 42' quad class a.....it cost no more to operate than shorter models.....value wise its depreciation is lower than buying cheaper smaller units , but back on track....if you have to spend a long time down or are stuck inside......I prefer a mansion , this is not all the comforts of home.....it is home!!!!

Our first 5 years on the road was in super tiny travel trailers (16' and 17'). They were awesome for getting into tight spaces and down some tricky roads. We loved those days, but we definitely felt the space if we were still for more than a couple weeks at a time.
We sure are loving our 35' long, 96" wide no slides bus! It feels like a mansion in comparison. We wanted to slow down our pace of travel and be comfortable in a rolling condo on wheels if we needed to stay places measured in months. And it's been wonderful.
Your pace of travel definitely influences the size that will be most suitable for you. - Cherie

What a wonderful coincidence!! We went "RV looking" today and saw a Travel Supreme for the first time, a 2007 model for about 200K. We LOVED it!!! Not sure it's in our price range, but we looked at all the other used models and kept comparing it back to the 40 foot Travel Supreme. So, any issues with Travel Supreme? Anything you particularly love or intensely dislike? I'd appreciate any feedback you care to share, we kept thinking we wanted something in the 35-37 foot range but we keep finding floor plans of 40 ft that seem to be a better "fit" for 2 people who will be working full time on the road.

Just remember that that 40' is going to take a better tow vehicle than your tundra.
Nearly two years ago we bought an mpg 181 as our "learner" trailer. Now we're getting close to hunting for our full-time coach. Yes, that 19' trailer is great for two adults, and okay for three, as long as you aren't cooped up in it too long. The summer after we bought it we were on what was supposed to be a three-week trip. Part of that trip had me in the mpg alone (except for the cat) for the entire day for three days while Jo Ann was at an LWML convention. It was rainy/cold those days, and our mpg doesn't have a comfortable chair or couch.
Yesterday we were looking at motor homes, and the only one that we wouldn't have considered for reasons other than price was a fairly short one. The salon was fine, but the bed literally came to the bedroom door! After looking at a bunch of coaches, we've pretty well decided that we'll end up with something 36'-40' in length. On one, we had the salesman pull the slide in, just to see how it was that way. It was comfortable enough that we actually left the slide in as we talked.
